[TPIN] aspirin cardio and trumpet

Hi Jon

I can't help but wonder why you'd take an aspirin after playing a gig.
Why? Medicating yourself for no reason is something that doesn't make a
whole lot of sense. If you have a concern, I'[d be on my way to the
quack.

Aspirin can irritate the mucous lining of the stomach. That's where
ulcers and bloody stools can originate from. It also acts as a blood
thinning agent, which is why some people are taking a half tablet daily
on their quack's instruction, although in these parts Warfarin(sp) is
more common.

I can remember reading that aspirin would never make it to the market,
if it was introduced via today's testing protocols...

The most burning question I have is, why on earth would one wish to read
such a rag as Men's 'Health'? As you say, they just invent articles. To
me, it's a teeny bopper mag aimed at people who can pay a bit more...

Cheers

Andy

Subject: [TPIN] aspirin cardio and trumpet

Hi all, about a year ago I came across an article in Men's health which
stated aspirin after a hard cardio workout was bad. Nothing to back it
up
so I called the magazine and basically after being bounced from one
sector
to another, they admitted they made it up. It still bugs me tho.
Anything
to it? I take aspirin from time to time after a gig. Anyone have any
knowledge of it being harmful and why?

Thanks..:)

Jon Trimble
