That's probably going to turn out to be next to impossible, unless he just  
gets lucky.  I am sure that he knows about all the alternatives, including  
getting a Kanstul or some other bell that will fit.
 
I have a NY Bach with a really bad bell and looked for years for another NY  
Bach bell without success.  As luck would have it, I posted a request for a  
Bach bell, any Bach bell, for a project horn and one of them I bought sight  
unseen turned out to be a NY Bach bell.  It was just pure luck.  It  was not in 
excellent shape, but it was in better shape than the one on my  horn.  So if 
he is patient, it may turn up, but he should probably not get  his hopes up too 
high.
