There is no mention of this anywhere on the internet (CNN, MSN, Google News)
- nothing on WBGO (NYC jazz station). Given Maynards' status in the jazz,
music and entertainment world, it would be odd for things to be so quiet if
he had really passed away.

There was also a rumor floating around to this effect back in May, I
believe.

So I would be skeptical...
