Advantages

Disadvantages
	I don't really see any. I belong to several yahoo groups and they
are easier to read than TPIN digests. There is occasional spam, but
only for unmoderated groups.

Embedded hyperlinks are a huge advantage.

Myself, if you own the server, I like the Trumpet Herald format.
Just having the discussion elements all lined up under a single title is an 
advantage, both in the present, and if you are researching something from 
the past.
In it's present form, most of the good stuff on TPIN will be lost to future 
users. You want a friendly, advanced search facility at your fingertips.
That plus every bit of spam or sillyness doesn't end up in your inbox.
And, of course, you can provide general areas for discussion: mouthpieces, 
horns etc.
Wouldn't it be nice to have all of Leon's posts in a single area????
How would you go about viewing all of Leon's posts now?????
