[TPIN] Chet Baker and the Army

A friend used to play drums in a house band in Rhode Island that accompanied
many musicians passing through.  Chet would ask the piano to play the first
note of a piece.  That was enough for him to get started.  Once he was
unhappy with the piano player's performance and stopped the band part way
through.  Chet muscled him off the bench, sat down, and proceeded to finish
the tune on the piano - no music of course.  Manny thought that if he did
read music, he certainly kept it a deep secret.
