Famous trumpet player on TV alert!
  had the pleasure of playing on a TV special here in Washington, DC 
last week which features Chris Botti. Those of you who don't care for 
his thing probably won't care. The rest of you may want to check it 
out. He sure has a nice sound, and is  very consistent.
  Look for "An American Salute At Ford's Theater"  It will be aired on 
ABC on July 4th. 10:00 PM  I think. I've been lucky enough to do this 
show a few times in the past few years and it's always a thrill. Some 
personnel including lead trumpet come from LA.  So if you want to see 
Chris Botti, and  hear but probably not see Rick Baptist ( nice little 
player) and me, tune in.
