I played BatB earlier this year for a production at the school where my 
wife teaches.  The version of the show I played was scored for a single 
trumpet and had some, er, interesting mute and horn changes.  The 
instrument changes were more challenging than those in other musicals 
I've played in my admittedly limited experience  -- I recall holding my 
flugel in one hand and a muted trumpet in the other so that I could make 
the swap in the few beats I had to make the change.  I wish I could have 
had the part for another week or so to work out a couple of "technical" 
sections better, but for the most part it wasn't too bad.
