[TPIN] Forgetting my trumpet

John,


     A close friend of mine, who plays in a major American Symphony 
Orchestra, set his french horn down at his car, which he never does, to put 
something else in.  He apparently forgot it there and commenced to drive out 
to meet me somewhere.  Well, he not only forgot the horn, but he ran over 
the horn, which was in a gig bag and crushed it.  It made him feel real 
good, and smart too, that he had done this as you can all imagine.

     In the end, his repair man fixed the horn and annealed all the parts 
and it played better than it had played before.

      Now before y'all go out and run over your horns with your car, there 
is no guarantee that your repairman will be able to fix your horn or that it 
will sound better than b efore......  Unless, of course, you are totally 
desperate, and you run over your spare horn and not your 1st string 
axe.......
