I suggest ITunes which has no monthly fee. You will need their software which is free. Plus you can preview the songs.
I've found many cool old R&B tunes there which I needed to learn for gigs( including the 17 minute version of Edgar Winter's Tobacco Road- $.99)
ITunes is also cool because you can find my CD there :))

Some of the other services like MSN, Sony and Napster are good but charge a monthly fee.

Hey peeps.... I need a good service online to download legally....I need to
find some Basie type stuff....and lots of it...what is a good service for me,
as I have only puter capabilities...No
I-pod, or mp3 player..etc...just my hard drive and puter speakers...
or...where online is the best bet to find the biggest selection of jazz and
big band cd's I can order?..
