[TPIN] TAPS and Star Spangled Banner Fee

Mark is right. good players are not a dime a dozen, they are about a dollar
39 a dozen.
Actually weddings AND funerals are worth a lot to walk out of the
house for, and even more to remember your hornfor, and more still if you
warm up and play good. Personally, I think that good money should be
charged for funerals too. If the player wants to turn around and donate the
money to some good cause that is an honorable thing.. The problem I have
is that so many people don't know that to get a trumpeter to do justice
and show respect and reverence to the fallen is worth an awful lot. If
people don't know that , they sometimes will get someone to do it for
nothing or for cheap and end up with a player that may or may not be able
to play with the kind of quality and reverane that TAPS should have.
I still hear guys play TAPS with vibrato, even military players. Why
do they do that?
