[TPIN] beginning books

Told a student that was new last week to get "Tune a Day" to work with for 
his lessons.  He came back with "A New Tune A Day"!  The new book gives you 
a contemporary look.  They got rid of the 1930's looking girl and put a 2006 
Afro American on the cover and demonstrating posture etc.  He is replaced by 
a 1990's girl later in the book.  Now the book has many, but not all of the 
same old songs to learn with.  It progresses the same pace.  The look is 
cleaner and touches on a bit of jazz at the end.  The students will like 
working with the CD and playing a few of the added newer songs.  My first 
look gives this book a + for improvement and bringing it up to date.  Cost 
is now around $10

I like to use Tune a Day  as a pre- Rubank series book as the later advances 
in range to fast for most beginners.
