[TPIN] Blowing High

Hey there TPIN,

I finally resubscribed after about a 4 year hiatus. I'll be going to college
next year and I intend on playing more seriously.
So here's my question: I find that when I play a note, say tuning C for
example, and then slide the mouthpiece out of the horn, the buzz produced is
pitched much higher, say a D or even D#. Something tells me I'm playing much
too high on the instrument, and possibly exerting more energy than is
necessary. How bad of a problem is this? and what can I do to fix this?
Any suggestions are welcome.
