[TPIN] RE: Studio Cornet

I just picked one of these up myself, a Studio trumpet actually. I love
it! I've got 3 horns laid out on the spare bed and I alternate between
them as I practice - The Studio is one of my 3 favorite players (at the
moment).

I just sent my Recording to Larry Mizell in Hagerstown, MD, for
overhaul. He's supposed to be great, and works at a reasonable price (I
have had him do other work in the past which I have been happy with, but
this is my first overhaul). It does not need any valve work, but none
of my Olds have needed it - a testament to the way they built them in
those days.

I'll let you know how it works out (if you want). Not supposed to get it
back until late June though...

Yesterday I acquired an Olds Studio cornet...plays great, but it should
be overhauled...
Serial number is; 59418
Do any of you recommend any one especially known for working on these
horns?
