Eric Berlin will be premiering "Arboretum" during the New Chamber
Music Concert this week. Thanks Eric! The four-movement work is
available for trumpet (or trombone) and chamber orchestra; piano
quintet; woodwind quintet and piano; or piano. The ITG performance
will be with Rebecca Wilt and the Rowan Faculty Woodwind Quintet.
I would also like to thank Bryan Appleby-Wineberg and Brian Chin
for helping to make this performance happen!

Would you like to take a look at the trumpet part? The ensemble parts
are equal to the solo, so the trumpet part alone may not give a complete
idea of what the work sounds like - especially in the last movement.
Nevertheless, it might be fun to have an idea about the piece before
you hear it at the conference.

Richard Stoelzel has just completed the first recording of "Arboretum"!
It will be released at the end of this month, on a CD produced by Grand
Valley State University. Richard has recorded the trumpet/piano version
with future plans to record one of the chamber ensemble versions. More
details to follow.
