Conn made the Director. Preceded the Yamaha trumpets. I thought the serials
began with P for the Japan Conns.

I referred cellblock7 to the Conn Loyalist website and the person who owns
it. Maybe she will have some definitive information. There's no mention of
Japanese made instruments on her website that I can find, but I could have
easily overlooked it. What makes it more confusing is the five digit serial
number on the horn in question. The original Conn serial numbers were way up
into the high six digits by 1961. Conn had different number schemes after that
which involved numbers and letters.

Please post information on TPIN if you have anything on Japan made Conns.
Obviously there were some. There is just not much information out there about
them.
