==================================
Completely agree, Bruce. Mahler was the first classical composer I ever
listened to and studied in great detail. Mahler was recommended to me by a
friend when I asked the same question as the original poster and was looking for
classical music with a lot of brass.
There are some great recordings by the Chicago Symphony that would have
Adolph Herseth on principal trumpet.
