[TPIN] Bass trombone (for tuba) in a brass quintet?

The sound is not as full - the tuba provides a depth of sound not 
possible with a bass trombone - regradless how good the trombonist is 
(and this is an opinion based on experience).

For some music (transcriptions, early music),  the bass trombone can 
actually work better - but for music composed for a tuba - a tuba works 
best.

Of course, I tend to like a euphonium in quintet instead of trombone on 
most things... however, the solo in the second movement of the Malcomb 
Arnold is really a trombone piece...

Oh... forgot to mention, you would be dealing with 2 trombonists....
