[TPIN] 3rd Annual Atlanta Trumpet Festival

The members of the Atlanta Trumpet Ensemble would like to thank everyone
that participated in the 3rd Annual Atlanta Trumpet Festival this weekend at
Emory University. 

We would also like to thank: Mr. Vince DiMartino from Centre College, Mr.
Mark Clodfelter from University of Kentucky, Mr. Michael Anderson of
Oklahoma City University, Dr. Ryan Forbes, Gary Gribble, Chuck Jackson, the
Georgia Brass Band and Dr. Scott Stewart of Emory University for donating
their time and talents to our event. From Saturday night's Artists Concert,
through the Festival Gala Concert on Sunday, you were all wonderful! 

The Artists Concert featured all of our artists as well as the Georgia Brass
Band and the Atlanta Trumpet Ensemble and was a fun and exciting concert for
everyone. 

Our clinicians had a tremendous amount of energy and were great teachers and
motivators as well as great performers. All of our clinicians put a lot of
thought into their clinics and it showed. They were fun and I believe
everyone was able to take some snippet of their collective wisdom home with
them. 

This event could not happen without help and David and I would like to thank
all the members of ATE for their help in running this festival. They worked
very very hard and we are extremely proud of them. 

We would also like to thank the members of Mu Phi Epsilon from Emory
University, and the Tri-M societies at Lakeside High School and Alan C. Pope
High School. We didn't lose one middle schooler! 

We had 143 trumpet players representing 9 states (and Canada) attend this
event, and if those 143 had as much fun and learned as much as we did, then
the weekend was a success!
