I used to think that too, until I worked for a place that refurbished and
resold military equipment that had been, "Surveyed". There exists tons of
this stuff, with, "Property of US Government" scratched out on it......And
the way the government keeps records, they haven't got a clue that they ever
owned most of it......:^)
