[TPIN] ADMIN-PLEASE READ

Gin and others,

TPIN has always been an email discussion list and will remain so as long as I am admin. The reason for this is that there are already several very good trumpet forums out there and we really don’t need another one. TPIN was the original and existed before there was even a world wide web, let alone browser-based discussion forums. Forums are more convenient to use is many ways, but email discussion lists have their advantages as well. I use both and appreciate both.

Two very good trumpet forums are: www.trumpetherald.com and www.trumpetmaster.com

Thank you for the suggestion.

Using %SNIP% is fine, but not always necessary.. Just cut out everything that doesn’t relate to your reply.. It is simple and clean.

I don't suppose the list would consider a forum set up?  That way, all the comments of the thread are visible and the various email servers / email folders wouldn't get so clogged?  Just a thought - I think someone else suggested that as well....
