[TPIN] Sweat and Tone Production

I've had similar issues and got some advice from our TPIN colleagues and
others.
-some player's chops swell in hot humid conditions so the chops can be
disadvantaged at the outset.
-drink lots of water to stay hydrated (sweating can dry out your lips and
lead to swelling from the increased effort required to stimulate a buzz in
dry lips)
-Eat salty food beforehand or drink a sports drink like Gatorade to help
retain water.
-The mouthpiece may move around more because of the increased moisture on
the lip's surface area from sweat, so a plastic or polycarbonate rim may
help keep the mouthpiece from moving. (swelling could result from the
increased effort of dealing with the mouthpice moving around the face.)
-bring a small portable fan and position it to cool you down, but not
interfere with your sound.
Hope this was useful.
Cheers,
Xylo
