If I could play half as well as Chris, I'd be happy. Obviously, he's well
trained and has good stage presence. Perhaps players should bear in mind
that guys like Bobby Hackett, Jonah Jones, Warren Vache, and a host of
others have been doing the same thing since days long ago when playing in
clubs with a three piece rhythm section. I can't blame the man for knowing
which side his toast is buttered on. I'd love to hear him play alongside a
heavy Hammond B3 organist, guitar, and drummer. It might prove to be a great
experience. Just my two cents plain.

Was scanning around and caught a bit of Chris Botti & Friends: Live at
the Wilshire Theatre on HD NET - stunning picture and sound in HD.....
Well produced and well presented - though I can't say my particular cup
of tea - certainly plays the trumpet solidly enough - and I have to
admit liking what he does more than I thought after the ringer some
people put him through earlier in the year... but I was wondering what
ilk of trumpet he's using. Whatever it is, it's certainly taken some
wear... Anyone know for sure? If they had shown the top of the bell
flare, I most certainly could have read what was there... but alas...
