You have received a good deal of information on transposing and it all
looks good to me. I would suggest you write it out (there are free
notation programs - not the full version, of course - that may help) if
the job is soon as it will take a little while to become comfortable
with transposing on the fly.

If you are going to continue to need these skills I strongly suggest the
following:

1. Learn the bass clef - it makes much of the transposing easier and
some of it leaves the realm of transposing and just becomes reading
music. I play C trumpet with (Eb) alto sax all the time in school and
simply reading bass clef takes care of the transposition. On picc. in A
I read concert music in bass clef and it does the same (you have to
change the key signature, of course).

2. Consider purchasing a C trumpet when finances allow (I suggest you
skip meals, take the bus and do it now). Many transpositions seem
easier on the C.

I have a big pile of horns and I don't see why I should be alone in this
addiction - get the bug and start a collection - it looks good next to
the mouthpiece collection.
