Hello All!

I am writing to let all of you know about this year's Western Carolina University Trumpet Festival.  The event will take place on Martin Luther King Weekend (Jan. 12-14, 2007).  The guest artists/clinicians this year are Terell Stafford ( jazz trumpet), Vladislav Lavrik (Principal Trumpet of the Russian National Orchestra/Moscow), Gary Malvern (Furman University), RamonVasquez (Auburn University), and Mark Clodfelter (Univ. Of Kentucky). 

Last year's Festival had participants from 13 states and Canada and we hope to have even more this year!

The cost for all or part of the Festival is only $35 each and includes a WCU Trumpet Festival T-shirt.

 We are also interested in having trumpet ensembles perform on the Festival Concert.  If you have an ensemble wishing to perform, contact Brad Ulrich from the WCU Trumpet Festival webpage:

Western Carolina University is located in the beautiful Smoky Mountains in western North Carolina.  We are about 50 miles SW of Asheville, NC, 2 hours north of Atlanta, GA.
