I think you should give the solos to Jay and record him playing them, then
post them for us all to hear. We'll then decide that everything he played
was right, not wrong. :-)

Just kidding Jon... Frankly, I think yer a nut with this one. You have been
around enough to listen to your own solo and critique it. I'm sure Leon
would love to hear it - so would I - but it is your playing and you are in a
prime position to evaluate it. Heck, ask Jay what he thinks!

I've heard a TON OF great Jay Diversa stories since moving to OKC. I play
gigs regularly with his trombone playing nephew and brother in law. What a
career that guy has had! You are very lucky to be playing with him. I'd
spend time picking his brain and getting him to tell stories about his days
in Hollywood.
