There's a Thad Jones chart called "Big Dipper" although it may be too
obscure, if you're looking for tunes the average listener will recognize
and know the name of.
There are a number of tunes with "Star" in the title -- Stars Fell on
Alabama, Star Dreams, You Are My Lucky Star (or is that the first line of
the lyric and the title is something else?), Star Eyes, and When You Wish
Upon A Star come to mind off hand.
There must be even more titles with "Moon" in them -- for starters,
Moonlight Becomes You, Moonlight Serenade, Moon Over Miami, and Moondance.
Would any of the themes from Star Wars or Star Trek (or Maynard's recently
discussed Battlestar Galactica theme, or Lost In Space, etc) work for you?
I'm sure there are plenty of others, but this is a start.
