'Stars Fell on Alabama', from the 1930's. Lead trumpet has a nice lyrical solo. Sorry, but don't have a source. - David

  Subject: [TPIN] Astronomy Related Tunes

  1) I'm looking for some astronomy related tunes that can be played a little
on the slow side. Currently, I've got 'Stardust', Moonlight in Vermont' and
  'Polka Dots and Moonbeams', but
I'm running out of tunes that scan as well. 'Blue Moon', for example,
doesn't work as well as the above.

I need a list of about ten to pull off my little plot......

  All suggestions appreciated.

  2) Where do you find the oiginal intros to these tunes?? I heard somewhere
or other that Clark Terry's pet project is collecting them. Fake books
  typically just have the tune.

  Thanks
