[TPIN] Faye Hanson

Richard Mason referenced Faye Hanson in a post about mutes.  As one who has always enjoyed playing from the Faye Hanson etude book (C Fischer - don't know if it's still in print) I wondered if Richard would share anything about her history, what it was like studying with her, is she still alive?  I am interested in knowing more about trumpet teachers  of note especially the ones who were known regionally.
