>What I'm talking about is a lot bigger than me, if you meant that personally. Which is the whole point. I'm about as busy as I >can stand to be, truth be told. If I wanted to busier I would be.
My point, admittedly totally selfish, is that I'm not busy at all, and would like to be busier.
>If I want to play at a loss, or for free at malls, or downtown in lobbies, or wherever else for exposure, I can do that. And other >quintets do.
>Do I know you? If so from WHERE?
Not sure if we ever met. We may very well have, since I'm horrible at putting faces with names.
>I know there are new players in town, but you're not one of the names I hear mentioned.
Again, that's my point.
I've been wasting away in Charlotte for 10 years, and could almost count the number of paying gigs I've had on my fingers and toes.
(I don't seem to have any trouble playing for free.)
As someone alluded to earlier, one has to be able to market oneself, a skill which I apparently lack.
>I can use a player on some upcoming gigs.
If it's for Bb trumpet, I would love to join you.
(I only have one horn).
