I personally think the Trumcor cup mute is the worst cup mute I've ever played. It is flimsy, the intonation is terrible in all registers and it just doesn't sound right. The movable cup feature on the Wick is much sturdier and it plays significantly better in tune. Having slammed their cup mute, I love the Lyric straight mute. I have never played a straight mute that cooperates as well when playing softly. The piccolo straight is the best Goldenberg and Schymul mute I've ever used. Makes that solo almost easy.
