[TPIN] Adults playing in student productions

When I was in high school, the choir and band did NOT play nicely
together. Actually, the band tried but the choir teacher had a ego that
wouldn't quit, and more seniority over our band teacher. You would also
routinely see kids crying in choir because he was so rough on them,
anything less than perfect was not ok - they did a lot of competitions
and HAD to win. Once we had a band concert where we had some extra time
so we invited the choir to do two songs. By the time the concert came,
it was the band that only had two songs. This guy was a first class
jerk and unfortunately, his attitude rubbed off on a lot of the choir
people, they were all very stuck up.

Just saying it does happen where the departments don't always play
nicely together. Certainly not healthy, but it wasn't the kids fault
(many were in band and choir and agreed the band teacher was a nicer
guy), that's just the way it was at that school at that time. It
wouldn't surprise me if there are still places where the choir and band
don't play nicely together.
