Thanks for the reviews. (Surprising 'verdict' on your part, going with the
Chicago).

Thanks to Chase from me also, I've been very curious about what other
players' reactions might be. Especially about the 'Chicago' model.

I'm not surprised about Chase's going with the 'Chicago'. Last August
I went to Wayne Tanabe at NYC's Yamaha Artist Svcs. for a valve alignment,
and while waiting I tried the same four models. Although my time trying them
was limited to an afternoon, the one that made the greatest impression and that
I kept going back to was one of the 'Chicago.' horns. For me, it just seemed
to have the right balance of everything. (Yamaha wasn't letting any of them
'out of the shop' however, and I didn't have $3300 to play with...).

Quick "caveat" note: Chase notes in his review that a "good horn is a
good horn." How true. I actually tried two of the 'Chicago's' that day, and one
impressed me more than the other. As it did Jeremy Pelt (who is a "Z-Horn"
guy and happened to stop by). So I would be curious to know if Chase tried
more than one of each model and picked his four "finalists" to really hone in
on...

    Thanks... Mike Spengler
