I'm usually right there with you.  
 
But following that logic, we should go the whole ride and  stop printing 
parts in original (and often impractical or antediluvian-!-)  instrument keys, 
always print "DA CAPO and "DAL SEGNO" instead of D.C. and D.S  on music and stop 
abbreviating (my student's favorite term)  Rallentando.  Speaking of which,  
all musical terms would have  to be in whatever language is the world's 
predominant one is at  any given time.  (English now, who knows in the future?  
Probably  either Spanish or Chinese....)
 
I do forget that even though this list couldn't exist without the  
educational community it seems to have a fair amount of diversity apart  from it, so 
henceforth (We all know there's not going to be a henceforth,  despite the fact 
that NCLB is playing with the future of the reason this  list exists in 
numerous situations) I'll spell it all out.
 
I see the humor, but this is turning into a pretty serious NS and is  
definitely OT.  (Oops.  Make that "Non-Starter" and well, you  know.....)
