Gee - you don't specify what pitch ;-)

For a Bb, it would have to be the Kanstul 1500A I have. Lacquered, using the
tuning slide with a solid plate instead of a brace. Fat rich sound, good
intonation, even scale over my range, good valves, great slides...

I'm using it in orchestras, chamber music and have used it at work in big
bands, all with equal success.

cheers

Andy

Subject: [TPIN] What is the best horn you have played recently?

I want to do a straw pole on this. These kind of things can clog the list
so feel free to answer me off line. Here are the questions:

1. What is the greatest (you define what that means) horn you have played
recently (again, you define what recent is)? Be as specific as you can with
make, model, year, modifications, mouthpiece, finish, whatever.

2. What style or type of music or performance would be best suited for this
horn?

Thanks in advance. I'll post summary and interesting responses to the list
with your permission.
