[TPIN] It's Huge

I bought this book and have been using it myself and with students this
week. I love it. Fantastic presentation even if the notes are a little small
for my old eyes. :-)

The exercises are a great workout and should not be limited to only those
who want to work on their jazz playing. These technical exercises are an
excellent supplement to those wishing to work on their chops, their fingers
and their transposition and sight reading skills. Even if you don't play a
lick or jazz and never intend to, this book can help you immensely.

Rich - some constructive feedback - All my students have been excited about
the book and interested in ordering it. There is quite a sticker shock
though and most of them were quite taken aback by it. I think the book and
accompanying CD are more than worth it, but I'm wondering if you have
considered a further discount for students of teachers who have bought the
book or perhaps a bulk discount for teachers who want to see their entire
studio get the book? Also, have you considered an electronic version that
students could download for say half price? I know that opens a can of
worms, but I have students who would like to make this thing a part of their
summer routine, but they just can't afford it.

One other comment - is there a BIAB routine that would work as an
accompaniment for the technical exercises in the first half of the book? I'd
love to do those scales and clarke studies with an accompaniment. If so,
perhaps an online supplement for those studies would be useful.

Thank you again.

Michael
