Ha! Not my fingers man, definitely the valves (this Bb is not the only horn
I play...;-).
Also, I find the Binak to be much too heavy - have tried it a few times. On
most of my horns it seems to gum up the valves. It does seem to work well
on my Getzen picc.

If the valves on your Strad are too stiff, get some of Nanette's oil and
start practising Clarke exercises. If your fingers are too weak from lack
of muscular tone, and your valves seem stiff, then more work will help both
of these challenges.
