While I'm sure that strength is part of the overall
equation, when you read the directions in a Clark
Studies book about playing things once, twice, four
times on a single breath - you are not developing
strength, you may be devloping some additional vital
capacity, you are developing efficiency and you are
also developing the technique to play the study more
quickly.
