An unreliable source informed me that Ms Balsom has been having 
difficulty keeping her mutes from falling out and therefore is too busy 
to answer emails.
She is currently working on a solution other than licking them, or 
wetting her finger or fogging her bell as this has generated unpleasant 
reactions from the classical music crowd. She doesn't seem to realize 
it might leave a favorable impression among many jazzers.

Mike, maybe if you offered your expertise on this subject.......
