Hi all, I show my support by buying CDs. I have Mike Vax. I listened to
one of Ms. Balsom's Cds and it was just so so. My daughter liked it so I
gave it away. Another real famous trumpet player got snooty with me. I
could not read his autograph. It was like I inconvienced him or something.
Lucky for me I didn't have any recordings of his or I would have used them
for coffee cup coasters. You know, being flip in the end effects the
bottom line. Everyone is a good trumpet player so why put up with any
uppity behaviour, especially from a recording artist? Maybe girls in the
UK buy them. Me, I would walk over hot coals to hear Doc Severinsen. When
I meet him, everytime he was professional and a warm and caring fun guy.
So the problem is easily solved, put your coffee cup on it. BTW, have you
ever met Maynard Ferguson? I shook his hand, got him to autograph my CD
... I will remember his smile forever. He was such a nice guy. Maynard
would have replied. In a few years we will all be gone but, Maynard's
music will be timeless. Want to bet who gets remembered?

Best wishes,
Terry Rach
