I'd cut the folks running interference some slack. She's a fine artist,
quite busy, very gorgeous and British. She no doubt gets a great deal of
attention, much of it, umm, well, inappropriate, and if they didn't
actually pick and choose carefully she would very possibly be the worse
for it. It may well be the current isolation is *her* solution to a real
problem in the past, and not an issue of manners.
In any case, once it is very clear that a social contact is not desired,
it seems to me to be poor manners to continue.

Oh, so now I have poor manners, for trying to contact her?????
Interesting.
What some of you are forgetting is that I didn't only try contact her
through her management. I had a musician who she works with send her a message for
me. He didn't hear back from her and neither did I.
After that, Greg, I DID NOT try to contact her any more. I contacted her
management and complained that they wouldn't help me at all.
Gee, now are you trying to say that she has stalkers going after her and all
that?
Interesting again.
I did give them all my website information, so that if anyone had just
looked, they might have been able to tell that I am "for real" and not some kook.
And for Simon, I do understand that she may be a "big name" in England, but
as the old saying goes, "She sure ain't that big on this side of the
pond......."
Now I should make sure you all know, that I NEVER expected her to have any
idea of who I am. That again, is why I included website information and did
tell her (or tried to) that I would be touring near where she was performing.
And for some others, I will reiterate what I said in my previous message. I
have always felt that the "trumpet community" is a close knit group and I
have met and "hung out" with many other well known trumpet players, who have
always been friendly and willing to talk trumpet.
I guess it is all "water under the bridge" now anyway, so I won't let it
bother me.
I just thought it was interesting - mainly about the way I was treated by
her "management."
