Thx, Mike - great post (as usual)...

>> Maynard did what he did, and that is enough.
>From one MAJOR Maynard Fan - that sentence is exactly what I've been
thinking through this whole thread.
Sure I want to know "how" but there's another important piece you wrote as
well...
>> ...it makes no difference how Tiger Woods plays better than everyone else
most of the time.
Well, for one thing, he practiced hours per day since he was like 3 years
old.
Maynard also practiced for hours per day - he's said this and been seen
doing it on many occasions.
As Jeanne Pocius recently wrote - you don't get to be that good by playing
30 minutes per day - it takes hours per day for years... I know I've
paraphrased, but I'm just trying to be good enough to enjoy myself and not
send people cringing or searching for polite comments. I'm not trying be
you, Leon, Jeanne, Chase (Sanborn), Wayne, or <gasp> Maynard (and no
disrespect to the numerous other players out there whom I admire, just
trying to avoid doing what I'm doing with this disclaimer - making the email
longer than it needs to be)...
But I know that even in order to accomplish my meager goal, I can't run
Clarke #2 for 10 minutes and put the horn down.
