What I'd probably do is to motion the guy to come over to me during a break,
tower over him (this might not work for you, Mike), then calmly and privately
say to him, "Yo, man, you're really bugging me with all your criticisms. Please
stop it -- you really don't want to see me lose my temper."

That's just what I'm thinking I would do, and I have no doubt that I wouldn't
hesitate to do it, either. I'm not good at "subtle."
