Yes.  I know I do.
I just think the time to make those comments for most groups is in 
rehearsal.  

This sounds like a reading band.  The rehearsal is in front of an 
audience. Which is not a rehearsal at all. The leader or section leader 
might remind of endings or cuts or tough place before they ever start to 
play the chart.

Then, to quote Claude Gordon, via other posters on this list, "Hit it 
hard and wish it well."  or "Kiss it and send it on its way" or 
something like that.
