While I don't normally send in 'tips', I did run this by Nanette and she
thought it might be worth writing into TPIN.
Like most, I do a thorough flushing and cleaning of my horns. But in a quick
pinch -

"This came to mind as a pretty good idea after reading the 'Great valve oil
debate'. Not only do I use Binak for it's intended purposes, when I swab
out the leadpipe with my set of HW Brass-Saver brushes, I dab a couple of
drops on the brush itself and run it thru. It's incredible how with the oil,
the brush picks up ALL the crud that a 'dry' brush often leaves behind.
Along with that, while it's not a good idea to use dry Q-Tips to swab out
the valve ports, a drop or two of Binak on the cotton keeps it from
'shedding' and helps greatly to catch the crud in the ports onto the Q-Tip."

Sorry Coach Glennben - But a guy has to do what a guy has to do. 8-)
