[TPIN] American in Paris solo question

Depends on where you are playing...different halls require a different
solution, in my opinion. What matters is what the solo sounds like out in
the audience.

What has worked for me in the past is to use a Crown Royal bag, but rather
than put it ON the bell, I set it on the stand and play into it. I like the
sound better this way, and the pitch doesn't quite go as funny as when it's
on the bell.

Hope this helps!

Louie

Subject: [TPIN] American in Paris solo question

Out of lurking mode for a quick question:

How do you guys handle the American in Paris solo marked "felt hat"?

Thanks (and back to lurking in the digest)
