[TPIN] American in Paris solo question

I've tried everything, including a felt liner from an old 
derby hat mute. The felt liner is a good choice, but it 
isn't easy to get it to hang on the bell exactly the same 
way every time.  Out of total frustration I took the 
baseball cap off my head one day and it worked really 
well.
