[TPIN] Leon Merian RIP

I am very saddened to hear of Leon's passing. He was a great player,
as everyone knows. I will best remember him, though, as an
incredible teacher. Though I was only able to study with him for
about 6 months before moving to California over 30 years ago, it
remains one of the most intense learning periods in my trumpet life!
The guy was amazing, always totally engaged, very specific about
every detail, and a total musician. He will surely be teaching
Gabriel and the other angels a thing or two about trumpet! Dave Adams
