Brian. I bought a new Yamaha Chicago C last November, and I love
it. Great intonation, even tone and resonance through all registers,
and the response is terrific at all dynamic levels. I tried many
Bachs, and had many of my friends try my new horn, and everyone was
very high on mine - comparison tests and all. I wasn't even looking
to buy a new C at the time, but after trying it for a few weeks I was
totally hooked. It seems that many symphony players are having the
same sort of epiphany, and although a great Bach (emphasis on "great"
is intentional) is still a great horn, I believe the Yamaha will
continue to steal some of the Bach mystique. Dave Adams
