[TPIN] Playing in the Cold

Believe it or not, I did a favor last night for an old friend who has a  
group known as the "Fabulous Flugelhorns," that does malls and such around this  
time of year, and played with them.  I good book for four  flugelhorns.  I 
could have been a fun gig, BUT it was outside and it was  COLD and windy.  We 
didn't realize just how bad the weather would be and  none of us had warm enough 
clothes.  All I can say is that it was  miserable, and I have NO clue what to 
do in weather like that.  I think  next time I would bring a flask with some 
good brandy in it, or something.   Other than that, my solution?  DON'T TAKE ANY 
MORE GIGS LIKE THAT!  My  chops were wasted at the end, and that is certainly 
not like  me.........................
