I do believe I played and sounded much better on these trumpets than any
other pro trumpet I've have tried. The center of each note was being just
nailed dead on....like I rarely play on my other horn. These horns are much
easier to
play constant at all dynamic levels and ranges.

These horns were fantastic. Again, I know it's hard to evaluate a trumpet
in a little over an hour, but I couldn't have had a better hour playing these
horns. It was a blast. If you ever get a chance to try one....do it.

Cons: Thinking about how many jobs I need to get or things to sell to own
one of these trumpets.

And, as they say so often, "to each, his (or her) own." I have had the same
playing experience, pretty much, with them. My take? I couldn't even play
a high G. My upper range was smaller than usual and the notes did not want
to center. I couldn't hear myself play -- and I don't care how good it sounds
100 feet away, if I can't hear myself play, I am going to blow my chops out.
By the way, when I asked Dave about my upper register not working, his
answer was that I didn't stand properly to play his horns. Sure hasn't seemed to
affect the way I play on other horns.
I have never had a quarrel with his craftsmanship or the quality of his
horns. They just don't play for me, and as you alluded to, there is NO horn on
the face of the earth that would be worth that much money to me.
This is just my opinion and for those of you who like the horns and didn't
buy that car you wanted so that you could get a trumpet -- go for it. I
repeat my statement at the top of this message. "To each, his own."
